16 grit diamond segments are used for first-pass concrete floor grinding.
These 16 grit diamond Redi Lock shoes will give you extremely aggressive concrete grinding capability to evenly expose the aggregate in concrete floors.
Product Benefits
- 12mm high segments for longer-lasting grinding. Most concrete grinding segments are only 10mm high. More coverage than the standard 10mm high segments.
- 16 grit diamond particles for aggressive deep concrete grinding.
- Redi Lock compatible shape to fit onto Husqvarna concrete grinders without having to buy unnecessarily expensive concrete grinding shoes from Husqvarna.
- Double segment for larger coverage.
Before using the 16 grit diamonds use the PCD scrapers.
After using the 16 grit diamonds use the 20 grit diamonds.
The Situation: My grinding segments are not aggressive enough. I’m taking too long to grind down to the aggregate in the concrete.
The Solution: Do you need a concrete grinding segment for grinding rough damaged concrete? Are your concrete grinding segments not aggressive enough to evenly expose the aggregate? A competitively priced concrete grinding segment to complete a deep grind.
Husqvarna Equivalent
The Leburg 16 grit diamond concrete grinding segments are equivalent to using the Husqvarna Sharx concrete grinding segments.
Is the quality the same as Husqvarna’s concrete grinding shoes?
We have visited 18 factories in China that manufacture concrete grinding shoes. One of those factories manufactures concrete grinding shoes for Husqvarna. The quality of the concrete grinding segments made at that factory was the same as the factory where we purchase our concrete grinding segments.
What’s the difference between soft, medium, and hard metal bonds?
Soft Bond: Soft metal bonds are used on hard concrete. The soft bond is the metal around the diamond particles. When the bond is soft it will expose the diamond particles more than a harder bond.
Medium Bond: Medium metal bonds are made from mild steel. These can be used on most concrete. However, it may grind a little slow in extra hard concrete.
Hard Bond: Hard metal Bond segments are used on very soft concrete. Soft concrete grabs onto the segment and wears the segment down very quickly. The hard bond holds the diamond particle more firmly so the diamond continues to grind before the metal bond wears down.

I have both the medium bond and the soft bond. The medium bond lasts quite a long while however, the brazing of the segments is quite messy. They still work fine however look pretty ugly.
The soft bond is really aggressive but wears out quite quickly.

I used the medium bond 16 grit shoes first. They were not painted very neatly and the brazing of the segment was messy. But they were only $13 and they worked fine. I guess you get what you pay for. Other than how they looked they worked well.

These were a little rough with the segment welded onto the plate. They worked fine but they could look a little nicer.
Concrete Surface Coatings –
These exposed the aggregate well. I’ll keep using them.

Thanks for that.
